Critical Role announces new miniseries for Daggerheart, its custom D&D competitor

Critical Role has announced a new miniseries, Age of Umbra, which will build a story using the groups own game Daggerheart. Matthew Mercer will lead the play, with fellow Critical Role co-founders Ashley Johnson, Laura Bailey, Liam OBrien, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, Taliesin Jaffe, and Travis Willingham all at the table. Daggerheart is a tabletop RPG system developed by Darrington Press LLC, a subsidiary of Critical Role Productions. The new system is already known for its flexibility, which has been showcased in previous Critical Role one-shots. Session 0 will air on May 22 at 7 p.m. PDT. Viewers can watch the original cast create their characters, lay down their foundations, and plant their characters roots in Age of Umbras world. The Series premieres on Thursday, May 29 at 7 p.m. PDT and will air weekly on Thursdays in that hour, airing on Beacon, Twitch, and Youtube.
