MindsEye team deploys first hotfix as they scramble to make the dang thing work
The creative team behind IO Interactives MindsEye isnt having a good week. A weird pre-launch period has led to a messy, broken game; the PlayStation store has even issued refunds to some players who decided to bite the bullet and check the game out. Developers at Build a Rocket Boy are heartbroken that not every player was able to experience the game as we intended, and have shared a plan on the games subreddit to get it fixed. Starting Friday, June 13, MindsEye will receive a series of hotfixes to optimize performance and stability so that every player, across every device, can enjoy an equally high-quality experience. The developer says a crashing issue was caused by a memory leak, and the first hotfix will address that as well. The second hotfix will come sometime during the week of Monday, June 16, and will continue to address performance issues and the specific bug of wheels not spinning while driving.
